The Fire-Rescue-EMS Mission is dedicated to safeguarding the integrity of the volunteer fire-rescue and emergency medical services system. The primary goal is to deliver exceptional fire protection, rescue, and emergency medical services to the citizens of Calvert County with utmost professionalism, effectiveness, and efficiency. Adherence to county policies and procedures ensures compliance and excellence in service delivery.

The Animal Control Unit is comprised of five full-time Animal Control officers, one Animal Control supervisor, and one full-time office aide/dispatcher. This dedicated team is responsible for enforcing county regulations related to dogs and cats, as well as state laws concerning animal cruelty. Officers conduct investigations to ensure that pets are treated humanely, provided with adequate food, water, and shelter, and are not allowed to roam freely in the community.

These units provide access to a dispatcher 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In the event of an emergency, the dispatcher will notify emergency personnel and individuals listed under the client’s emergency contact.

The Calvert County Neighborhood Watch Program is sponsored by the Calvert Alliance Against Substance Abuse, Inc. (CAASA), Calvert County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police, Barrack "U". Meetings are led by Detective Wayne Wells (CCSO) and D/Sgt. Kemery Hunt, MSP, Barrack "U". Neighborhood Watch participants meet with law enforcement to exchange information and address community safety concerns, received guidance on handling specific challenges and to received updates on recent trends in criminal activity.
Meetings are held every other Month at the Harriet E. Brown Community Center, 901 Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, and begin at 6:30 pm. Contact the Calvert Alliance Against Substance abuse for more information.
