Youth Sports
2026 Recreational Youth Soccer League
Player registration runs from early May through the end of July. Children in ages 4-17 are eligible. All Pre-K players must be 4 years old by August 1, 2026. Registration fee for 4-5 years is $61.00. Registrations for grades 6-17 years is $84.00 for the first family member and $78.00 for each additional family member. We offer youth soccer in the northern, central, and southern areas of the county. Please ensure you register for the area you would like for your child to play in.
The youth soccer league is intended to provide an organized and instructional soccer program with emphasis on exercise, fun, and good sportsmanship. Shin guards, molded rubber cleats and a CCPR blue/gray jersey ($20 additional) is required. You may use your CCPR blue/gray jersey from previous seasons.

Tennis
Join CCPR for tennis lessons at Dunkirk District Park and Hallowing Point Parks. Our instructors are certified teaching professional who enjoy working with individuals and groups. CCPR tennis lesson goals are to enhance fundamentals and to create a fun and supportive environment that will encourage participants to play and enjoy the game for life. For information on current lessons and events, please check us out online or email us at sports@calvertcountymd.gov.
Parks & Recreation also holds its annual "Tennis Free for All" event on Saturday, May 9, 2026. This free event features free instruction for children and adults as well as giveaways and refreshments. Pre-registration is recommended. Look for details in our spring brochure. Public tennis courts can be found at Dunkirk District Park, Hallowing Point Park and Cove Point Park.
Tennis courts are available at this time for reservations. Court availability for reservations is first determined by CCPR event schedule and then by existing paid reservations. and lastly first-come, first-served for open courts. Courts can be found at Dunkirk District Park, Hallowing Point Park and Cove Point Park. You may reserve a court for a nominal fee by emailing us at sports@calvertcountymd.gov or calling us at 410-535-1600, ext. 2649.

Calvert County Parks and Recreation will be accepting applications for the Fall COREC Softball League beginning in July. Cost is $800 per team.

Golf
Each fall, the Office of Sports, Community & Well-Being looks forward to hosting the Annual Chesapeake Hills Golf Classic. This event is a great opportunity for everyone in the community to come out enjoy one of Southern Maryland’s most improved and picturesque golf courses. The event is a four person scramble and is a great opportunity to make new friends and renew old acquaintances. This year’s tournament will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 with the net proceeds benefiting the CCPR Therman Gray Memorial Scholarship Fund. The fund benefits underprivileged families that would like to participate in CCPR programs.

Pickleball
Join CCPR for one of the fastest growing sports in the Country. Pickle Ball combines the fun and excitement of tennis, racquetball and ping pong into a small court for two or four players. Pickleball is easy to learn and fun. Meet new friends and add pickleball to your active lifestyle today.
Lessons and clinics are held throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall. Registration information can be obtained online or email us at sports@calvertcountymd.gov.
Outdoor pickleball courts can be found at Dunkirk District Park, Mt. Hope Community Center, Hallowing Point Park, Harriet E. Brown Community Center, Cove Point Park court and Solomons Town Center. You’ll need to bring your own paddles and balls, but pickleball nets are at each court. You just have to move them into place and return them to the side once you’re done.
