  1. ACLT's 12 Hikes in '22 Challenge-Let's Do It Again!

    Take one hike each month every month in 2022 on the ACLT trails and win some really cool prizes! Not to mention all the great benefits to your physical and mental health and well-being! It's free to participate. Every time you visit the ACLT trails, use the QR code located at all trailheads to ensure your hike is counted. All adults who complete the challenge will win ACLT merchandise. Choose from water bottles, knit hates, gaiters, mugs or baseball hats. Children will receive free ACLT decals and stickers.

  4. Fossil Adventure Days

    Cove Point Lighthouse

    At 10 a.m., participants are dropped off at Cove Point Lighthouse, where they will meet CMM educators. The program leader teaches a short lesson on local Miocene fossils and what to look for along the beach. From 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., you will explore the beach to search for fossilized shells, bones, and shark teeth. After fossil collecting, work with museum educators to identify the fossils you have found. The program ends at 12 p.m. For ages 8 - 12. Capacity is limited; pre-registration required.

  5. Teen Workshop: Printing and Bookmaking

    Join visiting artist, Sarah Matthews, and design and carve stamps to create a collection of meditatively repetitive, multi-colored decorative papers. On the second day, you will collate and bind those papers into a one-of-a-kind accordion book. Learn new skills in printmaking and bookbinding while meeting other creative people and leave with a gorgeous patterned book that you made yourself. This is an indoor/outdoor workshop for rising 7-12 grades. Tables will be socially distanced and set with individual kits for maximum safety. Class will be mostly outdoors, so dress according to weather. There will be the option to move inside if desired. Masks optional outside, required inside.

    No, you didn’t misread that! In this workshop, you will learn how to turn pine needles and raffia into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind basket ideal for holding jewelry or keepsakes. This workshop is perfect for participants 13 and older. This is a two day workshop. It takes place on Wed the 3rd and Wed the 10th from 6:30-8:30pm.
