It's free to participate. Every time you visit the ACLT trails, use the QR code located at all trailheads to ensure your hike is counted. All adults who complete the challenge will win ACLT merchandise. Choose from water bottles, knit hates, gaiters, mugs or baseball hats. Children will receive free ACLT decals and stickers.

  4. An Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social at the Port Republic School #7, a One-Room Schoolhouse

    Bring a lawn chair and enjoy local, farm fresh ice cream while visiting the original, fully restored Port Republic One-Room Schoolhouse. You'll see where the Calvert County fourth grade students experience a day of history. There will be activities for the children, artifact display, and live music by the Calvert County Dance Band. The One Room Schoolhouse has accessibility for those who use a wheelchair or walker.

    No, you didn’t misread that! In this workshop, you will learn how to turn pine needles and raffia into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind basket ideal for holding jewelry or keepsakes. This workshop is perfect for participants 13 and older. This is a two day workshop. It takes place on Wed the 3rd and Wed the 10th from 6:30-8:30pm.
