  1. On Paper: Printmaking, Book Art and Beyond at Annmarie Garden

    The Kay Daugherty Gallery at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center will feature On Paper: Printmaking, Book Arts & Beyond. Selected work will highlight the expanse of printmaking and book arts as an artistic discipline. Techniques such as relief printing, etching, lithography, paper making, book binding, letterpress, collage and papercut will be explored. All works should showcase the unique process and craftsmanship that goes into each handmande paper, print, or collage. Select media welcome; small to large-scale works; indoor and outdoor works; cash awards will be presented.

  2. North Beach Farmer's Market 2021 Season

    The 2021 North Beach Farmers’ Market season is tentatively set for May 1 through September 25, 2021. We are pleased to announce changes to the market that will give it a traditional, small town atmosphere. The new North Beach Farmers’ Market will be held on Saturday mornings from 8 to 11 am in the parking lot of the North Beach Senior Center. The market will include local vendors with items such as plants, farm vegetables, baked goods, meats, cheeses, eggs and other fresh goods. The Town of North Beach will follow the State of Maryland’s masking order and physical distancing order for outdoor public areas that exist at the start of, and during, the Farmers’ Market season.

  3. Public Archaeology at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum

    Every year, volunteers are given the opportunity to see what it is like to be an archaeologist and excavate an actual site, through our Public Archaeology Program. Mornings will be spent excavating test units, screening soil for artifacts and mapping remains associated with an 18th-century plantation on the park grounds. Afternoons will be spent either at the archaeological site or in the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Lab, doing a combination of hands-on archaeological activities, such as washing, sorting and labeling artifacts, photographing archaeological features artifacts, touring the lab and more.

  6. River Cruises on the Wm. B. Tennison

    Enjoy a one hour cruise on the river with a relaxing sightseeing cruise. On your cruise, you will cruise the busy Solomons inner harbor, see Solomons Island and the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, pass underneath the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge and turn back at Pt. Patience and the Naval Recreation Center. Departures are from the Calvert Marine Museum dock. All cruises are weather permitting. Tickets are available for purchase online and at the Admissions Desk. Maximum capacity is 20 persons. Accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities with reasonable notice. No strollers allowed. All passengers must wear a mask for this one hour cruise.

  7. 2021 Lobster Feast!
