  1. On Paper: Printmaking, Book Art and Beyond at Annmarie Garden

    The Kay Daugherty Gallery at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center will feature On Paper: Printmaking, Book Arts & Beyond. Selected work will highlight the expanse of printmaking and book arts as an artistic discipline. Techniques such as relief printing, etching, lithography, paper making, book binding, letterpress, collage and papercut will be explored. All works should showcase the unique process and craftsmanship that goes into each handmande paper, print, or collage. Select media welcome; small to large-scale works; indoor and outdoor works; cash awards will be presented.

  2. Public Archaeology at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum

    Every year, volunteers are given the opportunity to see what it is like to be an archaeologist and excavate an actual site, through our Public Archaeology Program. Mornings will be spent excavating test units, screening soil for artifacts and mapping remains associated with an 18th-century plantation on the park grounds. Afternoons will be spent either at the archaeological site or in the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Lab, doing a combination of hands-on archaeological activities, such as washing, sorting and labeling artifacts, photographing archaeological features artifacts, touring the lab and more.

  3. Patuxent Wetlands Exploration

  4. River Cruises on the Wm. B. Tennison

    Enjoy a one hour cruise on the river with a relaxing sightseeing cruise. On your cruise, you will cruise the busy Solomons inner harbor, see Solomons Island and the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, pass underneath the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge and turn back at Pt. Patience and the Naval Recreation Center. Departures are from the Calvert Marine Museum dock. All cruises are weather permitting. Tickets are available for purchase online and at the Admissions Desk. Maximum capacity is 20 persons. Accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities with reasonable notice. No strollers allowed. All passengers must wear a mask for this one hour cruise.

  5. Pints and Pups at JPPM!

    On the fourth Friday of the month, JPPM brings back a re-imagined version of our wildly popular Tavern Night! Our Pints and Pups series will feature the ever-popular sea shanty performers the Chanteymen, a variety of food vendors and offer tastings from local breweries, wineries, and distilleries. Each month a local animal shelter will be onsite with pets available for adoption.

    Enjoy dinner and evening hours in the garden! Grab dinner, take a walk, tour a gallery show, frolic in the Fairy Lolly. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and picnic blankets. Some evenings will include additional activities and a cash bar. This is a "pay what you can" event with a suggested donation of $5/person.
