  1. CalvART Gallery Presents "For The Birds"

    CalvART is a cooperative gallery located in Prince Frederick, MD, and affiliated with the Arts Council of Calvert County. CalvART is a showcase for artists from Southern Maryland and highlights work from a wide range of styles and media. Our artists excel in paintings, pottery, jewerly, sculpture, woodturning and photography. "For The Birds" - Linocut prints of birds of all sorts, flying, foraging, flocking and floating. Also included are gourds made into fully functional birdhouses, painted and decorated to become whimsical habitats such as spaceships, creatures, and characters.

  2. M.A.P.S. Bird Banding for Teens

    Join us for a fun day of bird banding at our Monitoring Avian Production and Survivorship (MAPS) bird banding station. You will learn why bird banding is an important part of bird research and get to see some birds up close and in the hand during the banding process.

  3. North Beach Farmer's Market 2021 Season

    The 2021 North Beach Farmers’ Market season is tentatively set for May 1 through September 25, 2021. We are pleased to announce changes to the market that will give it a traditional, small town atmosphere. The new North Beach Farmers’ Market will be held on Saturday mornings from 8 to 11 am in the parking lot of the North Beach Senior Center. The market will include local vendors with items such as plants, farm vegetables, baked goods, meats, cheeses, eggs and other fresh goods. The Town of North Beach will follow the State of Maryland’s masking order and physical distancing order for outdoor public areas that exist at the start of, and during, the Farmers’ Market season.

  5. Marvelous Marsh Kayak Trip

    A perfect trip for beginners to learn about kayaking and get out on the water. We will focus on basic kayak skills and the ecology of the Patuxent River. Participants must be at least 9 years old to accompany an adult in a double kayak, and at least 12 years old to ride in a single kayak. Those under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

    The North Beach House & Garden Club is excited to announce the return of its House & Garden Tour on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 1:00-5:00P.M. We're back for our 32nd year, bringing visitors by the hundreds to Northern Calvert County from Maryland, Virginia, and the greater Washington DC area to experience the sights, history, and beauty of North Beach and it's wonderful homes as well as private and public gardens. This is a rare opportunity to get an exclusive look inside some of the nicest homes in North Beach, and maybe even take a relaxing stroll along the boardwalk and meet some new friends as well. This year, we've added houses from the very nearby towns of Holland Point and Chesapeake Beach to give attendees an even richer experience.

  7. River Cruises on the Wm. B. Tennison

    Enjoy a one hour cruise on the river with a relaxing sightseeing cruise. On your cruise, you will cruise the busy Solomons inner harbor, see Solomons Island and the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, pass underneath the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge and turn back at Pt. Patience and the Naval Recreation Center. Departures are from the Calvert Marine Museum dock. All cruises are weather permitting. Tickets are available for purchase online and at the Admissions Desk. Maximum capacity is 20 persons. Accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities with reasonable notice. No strollers allowed. All passengers must wear a mask for this one hour cruise.
