  1. North Beach Farmer's Market 2021 Season

    June 19, 2021, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ North Beach Senior Center Parking Lot

    The 2021 North Beach Farmers’ Market season is tentatively set for May 1 through September 25, 2021. We are pleased to announce changes to the market that will give it a traditional, small town atmosphere. The new North Beach Farmers’ Market will be held on Saturday mornings from 8 to 11 am in the parking lot of the North Beach Senior Center. The market will include local vendors with items such as plants, farm vegetables, baked goods, meats, cheeses, eggs and other fresh goods. The Town of North Beach will follow the State of Maryland’s masking order and physical distancing order for outdoor public areas that exist at the start of, and during, the Farmers’ Market season.

    Bring a stuffed animal or doll friend and dress up as fancy as you’d like to attend a tea party at the Park. We will enjoy tea party games, stories, and of course treats! For ages 3-6.

    Drop by the Woodland Village and get a glimpse of what life was like along the Patuxent 500 years ago. Watch staff ply the skills used by the Eastern Woodland Indians in their everyday life and give these activities a try yourself. Visitors are subject to temperature checks and must maintain social distancing.

  4. NAACP Calvert Juneteenth Community Day Celebration Talent Show

    It is a FREE high energy Talent Contest, Classic Car show, Mobile Health Unit as well as local African American Heritage activities, including dance, music, games, bike giveaway, story-telling, food and crafts (Mask Required).

  6. River Cruises on the Wm. B. Tennison

    June 19, 2021, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Wm. B. Tennison

    Enjoy a one hour cruise on the river with a relaxing sightseeing cruise. On your cruise, you will cruise the busy Solomons inner harbor, see Solomons Island and the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, pass underneath the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge and turn back at Pt. Patience and the Naval Recreation Center. Departures are from the Calvert Marine Museum dock. All cruises are weather permitting. Tickets are available for purchase online and at the Admissions Desk. Maximum capacity is 20 persons. Accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities with reasonable notice. No strollers allowed. All passengers must wear a mask for this one hour cruise.

  7. Public Sails on the Dee of St. Mary's

    The museum offers 2-hour public sails aboard the historic vessel Dee of St. Mary’s. This is a great way to experience the Patuxent River aboard an iconic Chesapeake Bay Skipjack. Guests will have an opportunity to help raise and lower the sail.

    Get your Dale Earnhardt Jr's and your Mario Andretti's ready. It's time to get your race on. Join us for Trike Night. There will be courses, crafts, snacks and more.   9. Moth Mania!

    Learning to observe our local moths is a fun and easy pastime for families. We will get to know our local moth species up close and personal as we go mothing. Learn to attract moths, identify them and log them on iNaturalist for research purposes. Participants should bring a flashlight and insect spray.
