    Join us outside in the park and make a family clay masterpiece! Work together to create a colorful fairy house or gnome home for your garden! Use slab, coil, and pinch techniques and colorful underglazes to make your house unique. These outdoor clay classes are small-group, socially-distanced experiences with individual kits. A fun and low risk way to spend time together!

  2. River Cruises on the Wm. B. Tennison

    Enjoy a one hour cruise on the river with a relaxing sightseeing cruise. On your cruise, you will cruise the busy Solomons inner harbor, see Solomons Island and the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, pass underneath the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge and turn back at Pt. Patience and the Naval Recreation Center. Departures are from the Calvert Marine Museum dock. All cruises are weather permitting. Tickets are available for purchase online and at the Admissions Desk. Maximum capacity is 20 persons. Accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities with reasonable notice. No strollers allowed. All passengers must wear a mask for this one hour cruise.

  3. Public Sails on the Dee of St. Mary's - (Adults-only cruise)

    June 18, 2021, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Calvert Marine Museum

    The museum offers 2-hour public sails aboard the historic vessel Dee of St. Mary’s. This is a great way to experience the Patuxent River aboard an iconic Chesapeake Bay Skipjack. Guests will have an opportunity to help raise and lower the sail.
