  1. CalvART Gallery Presents "For The Birds"

    CalvART is a cooperative gallery located in Prince Frederick, MD, and affiliated with the Arts Council of Calvert County. CalvART is a showcase for artists from Southern Maryland and highlights work from a wide range of styles and media. Our artists excel in paintings, pottery, jewerly, sculpture, woodturning and photography. "For The Birds" - Linocut prints of birds of all sorts, flying, foraging, flocking and floating. Also included are gourds made into fully functional birdhouses, painted and decorated to become whimsical habitats such as spaceships, creatures, and characters.

  2. ACLT’s 2021 “Hit the Trails” 22-Mile* Challenge

    Run/Walk/Hike all 22 miles* of ACLT trails! Explore trails you’ve never tried before and conquer some of our more strenuous ones! NOTE: This is a challenge and not a race! You can complete it over several days or weeks – not necessarily all in one day (unless you want to!) All ACLT trails are open from dawn to dusk daily.

  4. Guided Hiking Tour of Jefferson Patterson Park

    May 14, 2021, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum (JPPM)

    Nearly 70 archaeological sites document a remarkable and varied history that goes back thousands of years at JPPM. Through this special guided hike, visitors can learn about the 9,000 years of human history uncovered by the archaeology carried out on the park. Please note this is an approximately 3-hour, 2.5 mile hike on various surfaces/elevations, and can be strenuous for new hikers. Dress comfortably and bring plenty of water, as there are no fountains along hike. Groups will meet at the Visitor Center parking lot. In the event of rain, tours will be cancelled.

  5. Special Needs Night at Calvert Marine Museum

    This fun night for families with special needs is offered in cooperation with Calvert County Parks & Recreation Therapeutic Recreation Services. The museum will be open exclusively for individuals with special needs and their families or caregivers. Enjoy the skates and rays, fish, fossils, maritime history, and have fun in a relaxed and supportive environment. Shop in the Museum Store, learn about river otters, and board the Wm. B. Tennison for a 30-minute cruise! Check back for more details.
