Employee Recognition Committee

Mission Statement

The purpose and mission of the Employee Recognition Committee (ERC) is to publicly recognize individual Calvert County employees for outstanding performance:

  • Conduct an annual service award presentation acknowledging milestones in years of service for County employees
  • Provide social morale-boosting opportunities (e.g., Employee Appreciation Day, Annual Fall Feast, Holiday Luncheon, etc.)
  • Send cards and/or flowers to employees acknowledging significant life events such as:
    • Marriage
    • Birth of a child
    • Illness of an employee
    • Death in immediate family
  • ERC Scholarship Program - Application

The ERC funds these goals through monies received from the Board of County Commissioners and from profits from vending machine sales and other fundraising events as deemed appropriate by the committee.
