Each year, Constellation Energy mails a Public Information Brochure to county residents within a ten-mile radius of Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant. Residents are encouraged to review the PIB, as it includes information that residents should know in the unlikely event an emergency were to occur at the plant.
State and local emergency management personnel work with Constellation Energy to review and update evacuation and sheltering information for residents living within 10 miles of Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant. Areas within this 10-mile radius are divided into five zones for emergency planning purposes. The emergency brochure linked above contains a map of the zones along with further information. Please refer to the PIB to determine your zone if you live within the 10-mile radius. Knowing your zone number could be important in an emergency.
